Suggested April 2024 Here Are The Official Windows 11 System Requirements

Windows 11 may look like it has undergone a cosmetic change over Windows 10, but looking at the Windows 11 system requirements, it seems there is more to it under the hood. It seems Windows 11 is only going to run on recently-released PCs and not older computers. We have even written a quick guide to check if your Windows 10 PC can run Windows 11 using the PC Health Check app. But if you want to learn about the detailed Windows 11 system requirements, jump to our explainer below.

Windows 11 System Requirements Detailed

Here are the minimum system requirements for running Windows 11 on a laptop or desktop. If we take a good look at the requirements, it seems even some newer-built desktops won’t be able to run Windows 11 as largely motherboards tend to not come with TPM onboard, let alone TPM 2.0. Some motherboards do come with fTPM support, which should make way for Windows 11.

Not to mention, the 64-bit processor requirement makes it clear that Microsoft wants to do away with older PCs. Interestingly, Microsoft has not mentioned any specific hardware requirements to run Android apps on Windows 11. The support for Android apps is made possible by Intel Bridge Technology. Will Windows 11 running on AMD processors be able to run Android apps? We don’t know yet.

Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC)

Memory: 4 GB RAM

Storage: 64 GB or larger storage device

System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable

TPM: TPM Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0

Graphics card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver

Display: High definition (720p) display, greater than 9-inch diagonally and 8 bits per color channel support

Internet connection and Microsoft accounts: Windows 11 Home edition requires internet connectivity and a Microsoft account to complete device setup on first use. Switching a device out of Windows 11 Home in S mode also requires internet connectivity.

Feature-specific Requirements for Windows 11

Apart from the minimum system requirements for Windows 11, Microsoft has also detailed specifications for using some of Windows 11-specific features. You can read them here, but here is the gist.

5G support, of course, requires a 5G capable modem.

Auto HDR support requires an HDR monitor.

Bit Locker to Go requires a USB flash drive and will be available in Windows 11 Pro and above editions.

Client Hyper-V requires a processor with second-level address translation (SLAT) capabilities. It will be available in Windows Pro and above editions.

The use of Cortana requires a microphone and speaker. It is currently available on Windows 11 for Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Direct Storage requires 1 TB or greater NVMe SSD to store and run games that use the “Standard NVM Express Controller” driver and a DirectX 12 Ultimate GPU.

DirectX 12 Ultimate is available with supported games and GPUs.

Presence requires a sensor that can detect human distance from the device or intent to interact with the device.

Intelligent Video Conferencing features require a video camera, microphone, and speaker.

Multiple Voice Assistant (MVA) also requires a microphone and speaker.

The three-column Snap layout requires a screen that is 1920 effective pixels or is greater in width.

Mute/ Unmute from Taskbar requires a video camera, microphone, and speaker. The app must also be compatible with feature to enable global mute/ unmute.

Spatial Sound also requires supporting hardware and software.

The Microsoft Teams integration in the taskbar requires a video camera, microphone, and speaker.

Touch support requires a screen or monitor that supports multi-touch.

Two-factor authentication requires the use of a PIN, biometric (fingerprint reader or illuminated infrared camera), or a smartphone with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth support.

Voice Typing feature requires a PC with a microphone.

The handy Wake on Voice feature requires a Modern Standby power model and microphone.

Wi-Fi 6E requires new WLAN IHV hardware and driver and a Wi-Fi 6E capable AP/ router, as per the official Windows 11 system requirements list.

Windows Hello biometric authentication requires a camera configured for near-infrared (IR) imaging or a fingerprint reader. Devices without biometric sensors can use Windows Hello with a PIN or a portable Microsoft security key.

Windows Projection requires a display adapter that supports Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) 2.0 and a Wi-Fi adapter that supports Wi-Fi Direct.

The Xbox app requires an Xbox Live account, which is not available in all regions.

What Are The Entry Requirements For An Mba?

The Master of Business Administration, or MBA, is one of the world’s most desirable postgraduate study programs. India is an appealing destination to complete due to the high number of prestigious MBA programs

Whether you’re an early-career professional trying to improve your business acumen after earning your bachelor’s degree, a mid-career professional looking to move functions, industries, or locations, or an entrepreneur with entrepreneurial ambitions, the MBA curriculum has something for you.

The following information will provide you with all the information you need about applying to MBA programs in India, including the required qualifications, MBA entrance exams, and admissions procedures.

MBA admissions can be complex. You must choose several factors before applying, from the university to the course that most closely meets your MBA requirements. Because MBA programs are now offered in various formats, you must consider if you want to pursue a full-time, part-time, executive, or online MBA. Doesn’t it seem like a lot? The good news is that the MBA qualifications for each option are nearly identical.

MBA Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Take MBA Courses?

The MBA’s appeal is that students from any academic background – engineering, medical, business, law, or arts – may pursue an MBA and benefit from the program’s theoretical, practical, and peer learning.

While most MBA programs do not specify a desirable bachelor’s degree, most business schools worldwide require candidates to have at least 2-3 years of work experience before applying. As a result, many early-career workers are considering a Master’s degree in management instead.

In India, however, the eligibility standards are slightly different. To illustrate this, consider the many MBA programs offered in India.

What are the MBA requirements?

The MBA admissions procedure in India is comparable to that of worldwide business schools: you take a graduate management aptitude exam, followed by a group discussion and a personal interview.

In India, you must pass an MBA entrance exam as the primary requirement for admission. Let’s go over the prerequisites for admission −

Bachelor’s Degree

Because an MBA is a postgraduate degree, it is evident that a bachelor’s degree is required. Previously, only bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Management were accepted for MBA programs. However, Indian and worldwide business schools are gradually offering seats to students with other bachelor’s degrees. MBA requirements change from one university to the next. As a result, the overall percentage requirement for the program will differ.

Working knowledge Scores on Entrance Exams

Another essential MBA requirement is a high score on MBA examinations. If you want to enroll in a conventional MBA program in India, you must pass admission examinations such as the CAT, XAT, or university-specific tests. GMAT or GRE scores are necessary if you apply to a foreign university. In both circumstances, these results are critical to determining your admission to the institution.

Resume

The second MBA requirement is to update your CV as part of your admission to top colleges abroad. It is an essential element of your application, so take it carefully. To create an excellent MBA CV, you must first understand the values and culture of the business school and then include those in your resume. To get you started, here are some tips −

Keep it official since admissions officers will read it.

Explain any gaps in your education or professional experience thoroughly.

International students are expected to exhibit specific characteristics, such as leadership, teamwork, and the capacity to tolerate diversity. Try to include these details in your CV.

Keep it brief and to the point.

Letters of recommendation

All foreign business schools require at least two recommendation letters. These are the appropriate recommenders −

Managers (Current or Former) (Current or Former)

Clients and colleagues

Mentors or professors

Someone who has seen you in leadership roles

To meet this MBA requirement, you must emphasize quality above seniority. Select outspoken individuals to promote your qualities and skills in front of the admissions committee. You will need to collaborate with your recommender and explain the procedure and goal. Your LOR should correspond to the skills you described in your essay.

Essays

Essays are another MBA requirement that is only available at foreign business schools. Some Indian MBA programs require it as well. So, what exactly should you include in your MBA essay? With the aid of your essay, the admission committee hopes to learn more about your personality, hobbies, and professional objectives. As a result, emphasize all of these aspects in your writing.

Evidence of English

When applying to elite colleges overseas, proof of English proficiency is required. All overseas students who do not speak English as their first language must take these examinations to demonstrate their language competency. These are the most widely accepted English examinations for MBA candidates −

English as a Foreign Language Exam (TOEFL)

Pearson Test of English International English Language Testing System (PTE)

IELTS

Interview

Please tell me about yourself.

What makes you desire to attend this business school?

What are your professional objectives?

What are some of the ways earning an MBA will benefit your career?

In the next five years, what do you hope to accomplish?

Tell me about your prior employment.

Remember to be convincing and honest about your study motivation, and seek positive feedback from previous employers and lecturers.

Is your system sound too loud in Windows 10 or Windows 11? Are you seeing the volume display showing as a lower level yet it plays on maximum volume, and turning it up doesn’t help?

If this is the case, or you’re having a similar problem with different specifications, then your machine could be having sound problems.

Sound issues come up when there are audio driver problems or sound files and settings are changed, resulting in the controls in the sound mixer being grayed out.

Read on to find out what to do when Windows system sounds are too loud on your device.

How can I fix Windows system sounds being too loud?

There are different ways to resolve the issue of the Windows system sounds being too loud, but you could start by rebooting your machine and installing any pending updates.

If the problem persists, you can try the solutions below to see if it goes away.

1. Restore the original audio driver

This quickly resets audio settings for the audio or sound hardware, causing Windows to reinitialize the audio configuration.

Depending on your kind of computer, a driver recovery will restore the audio drivers for your sound hardware that was pre-installed on it.

2. Use Boom 3D Equalizer

What you need in this situation is its equalizer feature, and here’s what you can make with it:

Change sound indicators from a zero point on the equalizer

Activate a sound preset and change the frequencies from there until you get the right sound intensity

Adding special effects that will eliminate certain frequencies

Choosing the type of headphones and adapting to their construction (in case you use headphones)

With these features, you will be able to minimize the volume on your Windows laptop or PC, especially if certain frequencies are too loud.

Boom 3D

Use this app to lower the volume in Windows 10 and add special effects to cut disturbing frequencies

3. Run Hardware Troubleshooter 4. Update the audio driver

Update the network and the audio drivers for Windows 10 from your Device Manager manually by uninstalling, then reinstalling them from the manufacturer’s website.

5. Uninstall Sound card drivers

Sometimes background sound issues may be caused by a damaged or incompatible driver or a problem with your sound card.

If it is your sound card driver, complete the above procedure to uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue.

6. Buy or build an inline attenuator

If software solutions don’t help, you can buy an attenuator or build one, as this is a fixed volume reduction device or extension cable with volume control.

7. Adjust settings using Levels tab

Expert tip:

8. Use Equalizer APO

Download and install Equalizer APO.

Restart your computer.

Open C:Program FilesEqualizer chúng tôi it with Preamp: -24 dB or a similar value to your liking.

Don’t hesitate to give a try to Equalizer APO when the volume is too loud. The changes will be applied immediately when saving the file.

9. Lower system volume 10. Turn off sound processor

Some computers may have a built-in sound equalizer like DTS Studio Sound, which starts automatically with Windows.

This processor can create an amplified signal forcing you to have a volume set high at 3 or 4, so you cannot adjust it, and it gets too loud.

In this case, turn off the processor to get a regular sound volume that you can modulate finely, and it will fix things when the sound is too loud in Windows 11.

11. Switch to Windows native audio driver

Depending on the audio driver your computer model uses, it could create problems like the volume being too loud in Windows 10.

If using Realtek, for example, it could cause such issues, so you can switch to the native audio driver, as described above.

To get back to the Realtek driver, do it again, but reverse the names in the steps above.

12. Install updated firmware (BIOS)

BIOS allows Windows to start when the computer is turned on. Updating it can resolve compatibility conflicts that may exist between different hardware components on the computer.

Before you begin updating the BIOS note the product number of your computer, have an Internet connection ready, and a pencil and paper.

After updating the BIOS, do a sound test to check the volume. If you still find the volume too loud in Windows 10, perform a system restore, as shown in the next solution.

13. Perform a system restore

If the sound was regulated before but has since stopped working or is too loud, use the Windows System restore utility to attempt to correct the problem.

NOTE

The Windows System Restore utility restores system files to a specific point in time, called a restore point. Any software application or utility that is installed after the restore point is created will not work and must be reinstalled.

After the system restore, test the sound again to see if it restores your sound back to normalcy.

Even more, keep in mind that the previously mentioned solutions may be applied when dealing with any of these issues:

Speakers too loud at lowest volume – If you’re looking for an easy fix, then let us tell you that restoring the original audio driver will do wonders in your case.

Windows 10 audio too loud – If the sound volume on your Windows computer has become too loud, feel free to adjust settings using the Levels tab or update your audio driver.

Windows 10 notification sounds too loud – If you are getting this problem with notification sounds too loud, you should run the Hardware Troubleshooter. It helps fix a wide variety of issues.

Windows 10 system sounds too loud – When the system sounds too loud, there is another thing that you can do. As detailed above, download Boom 3D and make a few quick changes.

How To Change Default System Font In Windows 11/10

If you’re tired of using the default system font on Windows 11/10, you can change it to your desired font with a simple registry tinkering. This will change the default system fonts of the desktop icons like Recycle bin, including title bar, message box, and others.

In the older version (Windows 7 or lower version) changing the default system font was not a big deal. It was quite easy and straightforward through personalization settings in the Control Panel. But for some reason, these settings were removed and users remained stuck with the default system font. You had to do just this:

Pull down the list item and choose the element you want to change the font, icon, for example.

Then pull down the Font list and choose the font to use. Then define its size and horns (bold or italic).

In this article, we will show how to change the default system font on Windows 11/10, including the way to restore the default system font using the Registry Editor. Before you proceed, one thing you must know is that without having proper skills, editing a registry is dangerous. It can damage your system permanently which might be irreversible. So, if you have a little knowledge of what you’re doing then you can skip it and ask a skilled person to complete the adjustment.

Change default System Font in Windows 11/10

Before you go ahead and use the steps, do remember to create a system restore point first.

To get started, open Notepad first. You can open it using the Run command. Simply press Windows+R keys to launch the Run dialog box, type Notepad in the text field, then hit Enter to open the Notepad app.

In the Notepad app, copy and paste the following text code:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFonts] "Segoe UI (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Bold (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Bold Italic (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Italic (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Light (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Semibold (TrueType)"="" "Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType)"="" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionFontSubstitutes] "Segoe UI"="NEW_FONT"

In the left pane, select the Fonts tab. You will see a large collection of the font family on the right.

Select the font you want to use from the list and also note its Official name. For example – Book Antiqua.

Now replace “NEW_FONT” with the font name you have selected from the Settings page. Because I prefer the font name “Book Antiqua” to be used in the entire system so, you can see the above image, I have replaced the “NEW_FONT” with the Book Antiqua in the registry code.

After performing the above steps, restart your computer and the new font will substitute in the entire system.
