How To Enable View Passwords On Your Browser?

There are three simple ways to reveal the characters behind those dots:

Method 1. Check the Chrome Settings. (The Easy Way)

Whenever you sign in to a new website and enter your credentials, Google Chrome always pops up a box asking to add the credentials to Chrome’s saved list. If you have done that, then it is easy to find the location of all the saved Usernames and Passwords.

Step 2. Type in the address bar, on the top “chrome://settings/passwords”.

Step 3. Under the section “Saved Passwords”, you will find the name of the website and the credentials beside it. Notice that the passwords are replaced by dots.

Step 5. The password will be visible. You will have to re-enter the computer’s password if you restart Chrome.

Notice that this window has three important options as well.

1. A toggle switch that enables Chrome to save the passwords when the user is signing into a new website.

2. A toggle switch which automatically logs in the user, the next time he visits the page.

Method 2. Check the Chrome Settings. (The Not So Easy Way)

Step 1. Open a new tab in the Chrome browser. Type the website’s address on the address bar on the top.

Step 2. If you have visited the website before and saved the credentials, then it would display the username and dots in place of the passwords.

Step 4. A new window will open within your existing Chrome Window. It will contain a lot of complex coding.

Don’t panic, as there is no need to understand any part of it. We must make a tiny change which is in plain English. There would be a set of codes highlighted.

Step 6. The password that was appearing with dots earlier would have been changed to your actual password.

Method 3. Use a Third-Party Extension. (The Not So Preferred Way)

A third-party extension is obviously one of the easiest ways of retrieving the password. Perhaps that is the reason why it is created in the first place. However, the above two methods are safe and secure as it involves tweaking Google Chrome to obtain the already saved password. When a third-party tool is involved, it sometimes arises a doubt of uncertainty. The method is simple.

Step 1. Install the “Show Password” extension in Google Chrome.

Step 2. Place the cursor over the dots and the password will be revealed before you say “abracadabra”

Passwords are kept hidden for security reasons and to avoid identity theft. If you wish to know your password, then it would be wise to use the manual methods and obtain the password you are looking for. Using a third-party extension would reveal all passwords and this would result in you not being able to use your computer in front of anyone.

There is, however, another secure way of managing all your password and that is through a software: – TweakPass. This is a password manager software that allows you to save passwords securely, generate strong passwords and a lot more.

TweakPass Vault: Your Password manager

TweakPass is more than just an extension in Google Chrome. It is a Windows 10 compatible program that keeps a track of all your credentials and is 100% secure. Once installed, it scans your passwords for all saved passwords and amasses them in an encrypted vault. With TweakPass, the habit of sticky notes with passwords, small diaries, and secret papers comes to end as you just need to remember a master password.

TweakPass also offers multi-layer security with universal access to your passwords and notes from any device located anywhere in the world. Users can also save their billing information and use it to fill forms on various information.

With this, we sum up how to view saved passwords. Using TweakPass you can save yourself from all the hassle of remembering each password. As this password manager will do all that for you. Using TweakPass – password manager you can even save other important details in secure notes, can generate strong passwords and use its extension to get easy access to passwords anywhere anytime.

How To View Blurred Text On Websites

If you bump into a block of blurred text while browsing, there’s no need to turn your back in disappointment or impulsively pay for a subscription. You can unblur the text with one of the methods below and take the time to assess whether you really want to sign up for the content.

Why Do Websites Blur Content?

Websites blurring text is a common practice to keep their content exclusive to members and paying subscribers. Not all websites that do this require you to pay for a subscription to read the content they blur. Some just want you to drop your email address or sign up for a free membership or a free trial. Others also allow you to browse a limited amount of content before the paywall comes up.

How to Unblur Text on a Website

If you need a bit more time or a little more sample content to make up your mind before you commit to a sign-up or paid subscription, it’s handy if you know how to preview hidden text.

Keep in mind that the methods below aren’t guaranteed to work on all websites. Also, they should be used only to evaluate if a membership or subscription is necessary. We do not condone bypassing any paywall that supports journalism. If you don’t want to use your email address to create an account, we recommend using a disposable email address or a service like BugMeNot.

1. Use Google Translate as a Proxy to View Hidden Text

Google Translate is a viable tool for unblurring text on a web page. Use it to view the full and translated version of a web page with blurred content. Here’s how:

Open the web page with the text you want to unblur.

Copy the page URL.

You should be directed to a new tab containing an unblurred version of the web page.

2. View a Snapshot on Internet Archive

Internet Archive‘s WayBack Machine is a free-for-all tool where anyone can save and look up versions of web pages. The tool also crawls the web and archives cached pages. Use it to look up saved versions of a paywalled article if any are available.

Copy the URL of the page with the blurred content you want to view.

Go to Internet Archive and paste the URL into the WayBack Machine search bar to check if the page was archived.

Select the page version you want to view. For the latest content, pick the latest archived version based on date and time. Available archived versions are marked by blue circles on the calendar.

You should be directed to the archived version you selected, where you can see the blurred content.

3. Open the Page From Google Search

Copy the title of the page containing the blurred text you want to view and paste it into Google Search. (Hover over the page’s tab and you’ll see the page title.) If you can’t highlight and copy the page title, type it manually.

For more accurate search results, type the website name at the end or beginning of your query.

The entire page should now be available for viewing.

4. View Blurred Content With Inspect Element

Using the Inspect tool, you can view and edit a website’s source code, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and media files. Any change you make is visible in real time on the page you’re “inspecting.” This feature allows you to unblur text on some websites. Here’s how to use it:

Select the line of code that pertains to the hidden content. Ensure that you select the parent element i.e. the one encompassing all the little elements that make up the blocker. On the page we have chosen, we’re looking for a line that starts with “<aside class=”Paywall…“

The next line of code you need to modify starts with “<body…” In that line, locate the style=”overflow: hidden;” code.

This action works on the blurred content behind the blocker and makes it viewable.

A Few Things to Note

In some browsers, the Inspect tool may not be visible if you haven’t enabled the use of developer tools first. Look for a “Develop” menu or similar to check if these tools are active.

Also, the names for the blocker and blurred content elements on the page differ from website to website. The style attribute may not always show up as “overflow.” It may appear as “visibility: hidden,” “filter:blur,” or something else. You’ll need a bit of trial and error to locate the relevant bits of code you need to modify or delete. If you mess up, refresh the page to start over.

5. Switch to Reader Mode

To enable Reader Mode on Google Chrome:

Open a new tab and type

in the address bar.

In the “Experiments” section, look for “Enable Reader Mode” and change its state to “Enabled” from the drop-down menu on its right. Relaunch Google Chrome to apply changes.

After the relaunch, you should see the Reader Mode icon in the address bar.

Frequently Asked Questions Is it legal to unblur a website?

It’s not illegal to unblur a website if you’re using the methods above and you don’t intend to copy, distribute, or use the blurred content for commercial purposes. The potential for legal action also depends on the country you’re in. You could be fined for circumventing a paywall or receive a DMCA violation notice. Your IP address could also be blacklisted.

Is it ethical to unblur text on a website?

It’s not ethical to unblur text that you can only access under certain conditions such as signing up for a membership or paying for a subscription.

How To Check And Enable The Tpm Chip On Your Windows Pc

One of the best features of Windows 11 is that it makes your overall PC experience safe and secure by default. However, to enjoy enhanced protection, you need to have a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) security chip on your PC. If you have no idea about TPM chips, follow our in-depth explainer on what exactly is TPM and why it is essential for Windows 11. In this guide, we will specifically focus on how to check if your Windows PC has a TPM chip and enable it. There are high chances that your computer already comes with this TPM security module. So without wasting any time, let’s jump to the tutorial.

Check and Enable the TPM Chip on Your Windows PC (2023)

If you are facing the This PC Can’t run Windows 11 issue along with a TPM error after running the Windows 11 compatibility test, go through our guide and check whether your PC comes with a TPM chip or not. We will also explain how to enable the TPM chip on Windows 10 in this article.

How to Check If Your PC Has TPM Chip for Windows 11

Before you upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10, I would suggest you check for TPM support on your Windows 10 PC. This way, you will be sure that after enrolling in the Dev channel of the Windows Insider program, you will receive the first Windows 11 preview build. Also, if you are running a 4th-gen Intel CPU (2014) or AMD Ryzen 2500 (2023) and above processor, then in all likelihood, your PC comes with a TPM security chip. Here is how you can confirm it.

Method 1: Using TPM Manager

1. Press the Windows keyboard shortcut “Windows + R” to open the Run window on your PC. Here, type tpm.msc and hit enter.

2. A new window will open up. Now, under “Status“, check if the TPM chip is available or not. If available, the status will read — “The TPM is ready for use.” Right below, you can also find the TPM version.

Method 2: Using Device Manager

Another way to check if your PC supports the TPM security chip is through the Device Manager. It’s a simple two-step process, so follow the instructions below:

1. Press the “Windows + X” shortcut and open “Device Manager“.

Here, expand the “Security devices” menu, and you will find TPM along with the version information. For instance – My HP laptop has a TPM 2.0 module, but your PC might include the TPM 1.2 module, which is also compatible with the upcoming Windows 11 update.

Method 3: Using Windows Security

Finally, there is one more way to check the presence of the TPM module on a Windows PC.

1. Open “Windows Security” using the Windows Search bar and move to the “Device Security” tab.

How to Enable the TPM Chip on Your Windows PC

Some laptops don’t allow you to enable the TPM chip unless you set a “Supervisor” or “Administrator” password in the BIOS settings. So you first need to set the password, then only will you be able to enable the TPM chip. Needless to say, you need to remember the password, else you won’t be able to access the BIOS and make firmware-level changes in the future. With that said, let’s take a look at the steps to enable the TPM module on your PC:

1. First, you need to boot into the BIOS or UEFI interface of your PC. You can do this by pressing the boot key continuously while your computer starts up.

Note: For HP laptops, it’s the “Esc” or “F10” key. As for other laptops and desktops, you need to search for the boot key for your computer from the internet. Moreover, if you are using a custom-built desktop, the boot key depends on the motherboard manufacturer. It would be one of these – F12, F9, F10, etc.

2. Once you are in the BIOS/ UEFI interface, look for the “TPM” or Trusted Platform Technology option under the “Security” tab. It’s also labeled as PTT (Platform Trust Technology) on some Intel-based machines. On AMD machines, you might find the “PSP”, “fTPM”, or “PTP” option in the BIOS menu.

Note: If you don’t find TPM located under Security settings in the BIOS interface on your PC, look around and jump into the Advanced Settings. However, make sure it’s enabled or available. There might be TPM State as well, so go ahead and enable it.

3. Now, press “F10” and hit enter to save and exit. F10 is generally reserved for “Save and exit”, but the key may differ for your computer. We suggest you check it on the BIOS/ UEFI footnote.
