Even though your notifications can get it of control, you still need them, or you will miss out on essential things. There are many devices where you’ll need to control your notifications, and the iPad is one of them. The iPad offers you various useful options for managing your notifications. You can change how you get them and what you don’t get notifications for. If you ever change your mind, you can make the necessary changes by returning to Settings. That way, you add your personal touch to your notifications. How to Access Your Notifications on iPad
To start managing your notifications, you’ll need to know the steps to get to that section. Tap on the Settings app and swipe down the options on your left until you receive notifications. Tap on it, and you’ll see various options you can change to help you manage your notifications only on your iPad. The first option you will come across is the Scheduled Summary option. If you still need to set this up, your iPad should show you a summary of what it does when you first access it. It summarizes your non-important notifications at the time you specify. You choose two different times of the day. For example, you can get one first thing in the morning and when you finish working.
Suppose you want to see as much information as possible about your notifications. In that case, you can also edit how much information you can see. You can choose from options such as:
If you’re open to suggestions, you’ll also see a suggestion for Siri to suggest notifications for specific apps. Not to worry about getting notifications for apps you don’tdon’t need since you can toggle on which apps you want to get notifications for. You can toggle on the Time Sensitive Notifications for the more important notifications. They will stay on your Lock Screen for an hour, so you remember them. How You Get Your Notifications
It may be a short list of options, but at least you don’t only have one to choose from. There are three options to choose from getting them on your Lock Screen, notifications center, and as a banner. You can have the banner be temporary or permanent. The notification options continue by having them appear as badges, and you can also disable the sound for the notifications. Having a preview of your notifications is very useful. Still, they can be annoying if you get them at the wrong time. That’s why, under the show previews option, you can have the notifications always appear, never, or only on your lock screen. By default, your iPad will have this option set in always.
So you never miss out on a specific notification, you can choose how your notifications are organized. You can choose from options such as automatic, by app, or turn it off. If there are other options you’re looking for that, you don’t see on your iPad; you’ll see an option at the bottom where you can access the settings for a specific app. Hopefully, you’ll find the notification you’re looking for when you open the app’sapp’s settings.Further Reading

We all love photos. Pictures of our kids, family, friends, pets, and favorite spots are everywhere on our devices. But one thing not so great about a photo is its size. A photo’s file size varies based on the format, resolution, dimensions, and other factors.
While you may have plenty of storage space for your pictures, that doesn’t help when it’s time to send or share one. Sending large photos in emails and text messages can be a burden on the app as well as the recipient receiving them. And there are many sites and social networks that put limits on the size of a photo you can upload.
Here, we’ll show you how to compress photos on your iPhone and iPad. This image compression reduces the file size as compared to its actual size, making it easier to send, share on social media platforms, or use in a specific application. There’s an app for that
Like with most apps, you’ll find plenty of those for compressing photos on the App Store. But if you want a free app with an intuitive interface, check out Compress Photos & Pictures for iPhone and iPad. The app is developed by iDB.Compress your photos on iPhone and iPad
Open the Compress Photos & Pictures app, grant permission for it to access your photos, and follow these steps:
Tap Select Photos to Compress on the main screen.
Select your pictures and tap Next.
Adjust the compression settings for quality and dimensions (length and width in pixels) as per your preference.
Tap Compress or tap to go back, make adjustments, and hit the button there.
When the process completes, you’ll see the size details for your photo before and after compression, along with the savings.
You can then decide if you’d like to delete or keep the original photo. The compressed picture is automatically saved to your photo library in the Recents section and a new album titled Compressed Photos. If you pick Delete Original, you’ll be asked to confirm by tapping Delete.
Then, head back to the Photos app on your device for the compressed picture, ready to send or share. Once you reduce the file size of several pictures, it can create enough storage space for other things on your iPhone, like new apps, media, etc.How to take iPhone pictures of smaller file size
Apps like Compress Photos & Pictures are so easy to use that it’s definitely worth a few minutes of your time for photos that need a smaller file size. However, you can also have your iPhone automatically shoot pictures of considerably smaller sizes.
If your iPhone is running iOS 11 or later (which it most certainly is), its camera can take pictures in HEIF (High-Efficiency Image Format) instead of JPEG. You can learn more about the benefits of HEIF/HEIC here. In summary, HEIC image file size is smaller than JPEG without compromising the quality. And starting with iOS 11, iPhone automatically uses HEIC instead of JPEG. But if you turned it off, here is how to re-enable this:
Open the Settings app and tap Camera.
Choose High Efficiency.
In the screenshots below, you can see that I took the same image in the High Efficiency (HEIF) and Most Compatible (JPEG) settings. HEIF is 1.4 MB, while JPEG is 2.3 MB!
While this is great, HEIC isn’t as universally compatible as JPG, and thus, at times, you might have to convert it, which is easy.

Learn how to keep your pictures and videos organized in iPhone and iPad Photos app by sorting them into photo albums.
Your iPhone is a phone, first and foremost, but there’s no denying the capabilities of the iPhone camera. So if you use your new iPhone to snap amazing pictures, you’re going to want to see them all in the Photos app. But over time, that Photos app becomes quite full, making it a little harder to find the shots you want.
While the Photos app provides some help by organizing photos into albums for you, you can do this yourself too. And if you’re new to iPhone, then this is definitely something you’ll want to know how to do.
To help you out, this tutorial shows you how to create and manage albums in Photos on your iPhone.
Note: If you use iCloud Photos, the albums you create will also appear on your other Apple devices.About the premade albums in Photos
As mentioned, the Photos app collects and organizes many of your pictures into premade albums for you. This is handy for viewing your most recent photos or those in your Favorites. You can mark photos with a little heart to pop them into the Favorites album.
Also, on the Albums tab, you’ll see options for People & Places, and below that, you have Media Types, where the images and videos are further organized based on their types.Create an album in the Photos app on iPhone
Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
Select the Albums tab at the bottom and then tap the plus sign at the top.
Choose New Album. (You can also pick New Shared Album. A shared album is one that you can invite your friends or family to view.)
Give your album a name and tap Save.
You can immediately select photos that you want to add to your new album. Just tap the photos you want and hit Add when you finish. But don’t worry, you can easily add photos to the album at any time. If you don’t want to add any photos right away, just tap Cancel. Now your new album will be visible in the Albums tab of the Photos app.

Tap the Share button at the bottom and pick Add to Album (or Add to Shared Album if it applies).

And you can add photos to more than one album. For instance, you can have a photo of your child in both your Vacation and Kids albums.Remove photos from an album
Maybe you added a photo to an album by mistake and want to remove it.

Tap Select, pick the photo, and tap the Delete (trash can) icon.

So be careful not to select this option if you only want to remove the photo from the album. If you delete a photo by mistake, check out our article on recovering deleted iPhone photos.

Go to the Albums tab, and at the top, tap See All.
