How To Send Text Messages (Sms) From Google Chat
Sending text messages from the web has been fraught with inconveniences such as saving conversations in one location, being able to receive messages easily and sending updates without paying outrageous fees. There are a few workarounds but one of the easier yet more unknown feature lies in Google’s Chat function.
Enable SMS in LabsSending text messages from Google Chat is easy to enable but hidden in Google’s experimental feature base called Labs. To add text messaging capability to your account, log in and select the gear icon located in the top right of the window. From the drop down choose “Labs” and you’ll be taken to Beta and other experimental features available for Gmail.
The selections you need to enable are listed as “SMS (text messaging) in Chat” and “SMS in Chat gadget.” Both of these features must be enabled to send, receive and display text messages when logged in to Gmail through the web interface.
Sending Text Messages In GchatTo send a text start typing the name or number of a contact and a menu bar should pop up with their number and an option to send a SMS. A normal chat window will appear but will send text messages (or an IM if they sign on with Google Chat) to their phone. Incoming messages will show up in this same window and act as a typical chat conversation.
However, there are some downsides to using Gmail for sending text messages. While the service itself is free, you are initially limited to 50 messages but gain 5 more when you receive a new message. If you manage to finish your quota of available text messages, your count will be increased to one in 24 hours.
A quick and dirty trick to get additional messagesIf you feel that 50 messages are insufficient for your usage, a quick and dirty way is to send an SMS to your own phone, and then reply to that message multiple times. Since each time you receive a SMS in Gchat, your quote increases by 5, by replying the message from your mobile time (say 10 times), you are effectively doubling your message count. This will work for those who have free SMS usage on their mobile phone.

How To Monitor Text Messages On Your Child’s Iphone
These days, most children have access to an iPhone or an iPad, either their own, or one that belongs to their parents. However, this could lead to the kids being exposed to inappropriate content, online predators, and such. Therefore, it’s necessary that parents provide guidance and take precautions. The easiest way to keep an eye on your child and their phone usage is to monitor the device and text messages.
In this article, we’re going to show you how you can monitor text messages on your child’s iPhone or iPad.
Also see: How to limit kids’ access to apps and media to only those with age-appropriate ratings
How to monitor text messages on your child’s iPhone or iPadOf course, it’s important to respect the privacy of your children, but it’s also best to keep an eye as kids can be influenced easily. There are a couple of ways to keep an eye on your kid. You can enable Parent control on their devices, restrict your kids Screen Time on iPhone or iPad, or just check their phone from time to time. There are also several paid software and apps available that can monitor messages, location, and more.
However, when it comes to monitoring text messages, there are two free methods that you can use on the iPhone.
Note: These methods will only work for text messages, and not other messages sent via WhatsApp or other messaging services.
Use iCloud SyncYou can use the iCloud sync feature in iOS to receive text messages from your child’s iPhone. This means that you’ll have to know your child’s Apple ID and password. You would also have access to the device to allow messages to be synced to iCloud. This method will also give you access to other things such as Photos, Apps, and more. Here’s how to do this.
1) On your child’s iPhone, launch Settings app.
2) Tap on the Profile name and select iCloud.
3) Slide the toggle next to Messages under Apps using iCloud.
The iPhone will take some time to sync the messages to iCloud. Once completed, you can sign in using the same Apple ID and password on another iPhone or Mac, and have access to all the shared data. Again, make sure that you have access to your child’s iPhone when you sign in on another iPhone. Apple will send a notification, and you wouldn’t want your kid to see that, unless you’re open about monitoring their messages.
Forward text messagesAnother free method is text forwarding on iOS. You can simply set up the messages on your child’s iPhone to be forwarded to your iPhone or Mac. Once again, you’ll need access to your child’s iPhone to set this up. Follow the steps below to do this.
1) Launch Settings on your iPhone.
2) Scroll down and select Messages.
3) Tap on Send & Receive. You should see a page showing your current numbers.
4) If you’ve not set up an Apple ID, you can select Use your Apple ID for iMessage option. Now select Use Other Apple ID.
5) Enter your child’s Apple ID and Password to Sign In.
6) Go back to Messages, enable Text Message Forwarding and choose a device where you want the messages to be delivered.
You should now receive a verification code, which you’ll need to enter on the device to confirm text forwarding. Henceforth, all the messages coming to your child’s iPhone will also be forwarded to your iPhone or Mac.
To track your child’s location, you may want to use the Find My app on your iPhone.
Wrapping upIn this digital world, a lot of bad things can happen online, and mobile devices such as iPhones are one of the mediums. If your child has access to an iPhone or iPad, you must be aware and careful. It’s easy to monitor text messages and find out if someone bad is targeting your child. There are other things you can keep an eye on as well, with the help of apps and software. We hope this tutorial helped you learn how to track text messages on your child’s iPhone.
5 Ways To Extract And Copy Text From An Image On Iphone
In the past, if we wanted to copy text from a photo on an iPhone, we had to manually retype the text. Thankfully, things have changed. Whether you want to copy the text from a screenshot, business card, billboard, or picture on the Internet, you can easily do that on your iPhone in a few taps. Let’s check out five ways to extract and copy text from an image on your iPhone.
1. Copy Text From an Existing Image or Screenshot on iPhoneYou can use the Live Text feature, the Google app, or the Google Photos app to copy text from a picture on your iPhone simply by selecting it with one tap.
Using Live Text in the Apple Photos AppSome iPhone models support a native feature allowing users to extract and copy text from an image using the Live Text feature. It can be used to copy text from photos and screenshots on your iPhone, as well as text from a physical document or card through the Camera app. You can also use it in the Safari web browser.
Once Live Text detects copyable text, you can draw context from it or surface actionable interface items using the “Look Up” feature. For instance, if your picture has a phone number or an email address, Look Up will allow you to make a call or send an email directly from the photo. Similarly, you can also activate GPS directions or define words in an image.
Note: Live Text requires an iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or later running iOS 15 or later. Live Text is also available on certain iPad models and Macs running macOS Monterey or macOS Ventura.
Follow these steps to enable Live Text on your iPhone or iPad:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down and enable the toggle next to “Live Text.”
This is a one-time thing that you must do to use Live Text. After enabling it, follow these steps to copy text from a picture on your iPhone.
Launch the built-in Photos app on your iPhone and open the picture with text you want to copy.
Tap on the “Live Text” icon in the bottom-right corner. The text in the picture will be highlighted. Tap on “Copy All” to copy all of the text.
Alternatively, touch and hold on a word from the text that you want to copy. Move the selection points to manually adjust the selection, then tap on “Copy” from the pop-up bar.
Open any app where you want to paste the text, long-press on the text field, then select the “Paste” option from the pop-up bar.
Using Google Lens in the Google AppIf your iPhone does not support the Live Text feature, Google will come to your rescue. You can use the Google Lens feature that’s baked inside the Google app to copy text from any existing picture or screenshot, new photos from the Camera Roll, or pictures on the Internet.
Follow these steps to copy text from a screenshot or any other image on your iPhone using the Google app:
Install and open the Google app on your iPhone, then tap on the “Camera” icon in the search bar.
Tap on the “Gallery” icon at the bottom to view the photos on your iPhone.
Tap on the picture with text you want to grab.
Tap on the “Text” tab at the bottom.
Tap the text that you want to copy and mark the selection using the selection bars.
Tap on the “Copy text” button at the bottom to extract and copy the text from the picture.
Pro tip: add the Google search bar widget on your iPhone’s home screen for faster access to Google Lens.
Using Google PhotosYou can also use the Google Photos app to copy text from existing pictures and screenshots on your iPhone.
Install and open the Google Photos app on your iPhone.
Open the picture with text you want to extract.
Tap on the “Google Lens” icon at the bottom and select the “Text” tab.
Tap on the text in the picture to select it. Drag the selection bars to mark the text, then tap the “Copy text” button.
2. Copy Text From the Camera on iPhoneIf you want to extract and copy text from a physical document, card, bill, etc., you can use the following methods:
Using the Camera AppYou can use the Live Text feature in the default Camera app on your iPhone to copy text from physical objects. This method also works when using the camera inside other Apple apps, such as Notes or Reminders.
Open the Camera app on your iPhone.
Point the camera toward the object with text that you want to copy.
Tap once on the text from the viewfinder, then tap on the “Live Text” icon.
The selected portion will move to the forefront. Tap on the first word of the text that you want to copy and move the selection points to select the desired text. Press the “Copy” option in the pop-up bar.
Alternatively, use the “Select All” option to select all of the text, then press “Copy” to copy the selected text.
Using the Camera in the Google AppIf Live Text isn’t supported on your iPhone, use the Google app to copy text from pictures.
Install and open the Google app on your iPhone.
Tap on the “Camera” icon in the Google search bar to open the Google Lens feature.
Point the camera toward an item, such as a billboard, receipt, document, etc., that has text that you want to copy.
Select “Text” from the available options at the bottom, then press the capture button.
The text in the picture will be highlighted. Tap on the text that you want to copy, then press the “Copy text” button at the bottom.
3. How to Copy Text From an Image in SafariIf you find an interesting quote or other text on an image on the Internet, you can use the Live Text feature in the Safari browser to copy the text.

Go to the photo with text you want to copy in the Chrome browser.
Long-press on the image and select “Search image with Google.”
The Google Lens website will open. Tap on the “Text” tab to highlight the text in the picture.
Long-press on the text and drag the selection bars to mark the text that you want to copy. Tap on “Copy text” at the bottom of the screen to copy the text from that picture.

How To Edit And Unsend Messages On Iphone
Have you ever pressed “Send” on a text message, only to discover a horrible typo, or worse, that you sent the message to the wrong person? The team at Apple has finally found a workaround for these errors, and it’s available to all iPhone users who have upgraded to iOS 16. One iOS 16 benefit is the ability to unsend and edit sent messages. Yet, like with all other iOS updates, learning how to use these new features may not be obvious. With a little help, though, you can quickly master these new messaging features.
How to Unsend Messages on iPhoneIf you accidentally send a message from your iPhone or need to remove it quickly, you can now unsend messages by following these steps:
Make sure the correct conversation is open.
Long-press on the message you wish to unsend.
Tap “Undo Send.”
The exploding animation will let you know that the message was deleted.
Issues With Unsending MessagesUnfortunately, this new feature isn’t without its drawbacks. Most importantly, you can only unsend a message within two minutes of pressing “Send.” So you better catch that typo quickly, as the clock is ticking!
Also, this feature is exclusive to iOS 16. If your intended recipient hasn’t upgraded, they will likely still see the message you tried to unsend. The feature also doesn’t work if you are text messaging an Android user. Messages cannot be unsent.
How to Edit Sent Messages on iPhoneIn addition to unsending messages altogether, you can edit messages that just have minor typos by following these steps.
Open the conversation with the message you’d like to edit.
Long-press on the message.
Tap “Edit.”
Rewrite the entire message with the correction in the small text box that appears.
Tap the blue checkmark to save the edited version of your message.
Issues With Editing Sent MessagesUnfortunately, editing messages on iOS 16 isn’t a flawless concept either. You have just 15 minutes to edit a message you previously sent. Even then, you can only edit the same message up to five times before it cuts you off.
Also, the feature only works with iOS 16, which means those using iOS 15 and lower and Android users will still see each variation of the message when they open the conversation.
How to Recover Deleted Messages on iPhoneSometimes buttons get pressed and messages get deleted by mistake, but you can now recover deleted messages if you have upgraded to iOS 16.
Go to Messages and tap “Edit” in the upper-left corner.
Tap on “Show Recently Deleted.”
Select the conversation(s) with the messages you want to restore.
Tap “Recover.”
Choose “Recover Message” when the prompt appears on the screen.
You can only recover messages you’ve deleted within the past 30 days.
Frequently Asked Questions Can I see a text message after I unsend it?No. Unlike the Delete Message feature that has been available on iOS for quite some time, unsending a message won’t archive it in your deleted items. Instead, the message will simply disappear.
Why can’t Android users see when I edit or unsend messages?Unfortunately, the Messages app on iOS uses a different technology than Android’s Message app, so messages sent between the two operating systems rely on SMS messaging. This type of text messaging is severely outdated and doesn’t support many features of iMessage, such as unsending or editing messages.

How To Bypass Activation Lock On Iphone? (Effective Methods)
When trying to bypass your iPhone’s activation lock, you have the choice to either use a trusted third-party tool to get this job done for you or use other alternatives that might require you to do most of the work yourself. Today’s article guides you about both these scenarios as well as the most suitable and effortless ways that can be categorized in these scenarios. So let’s not waste any more time and head straight into the guide!
Part 1. What is Activation Lock?If you want to know how to bypass the iPhone activation lock, you first need to know what this lock actually is and what purpose it’s used for. All iPhones contain the “Find My” app that can be used to track down your device in case it gets lost or stolen. The Find My app includes the activation lock that can be used to temporarily lock your iPhone in case you lose it. The activation lock ensures that the data in your iPhone is protected and inaccessible from anyone else that might’ve found or stolen your iPhone. And the activation lock is automatically enabled on your iPhone when you turn on “Find My iPhone”.
The activation lock feature is extremely helpful in terms of security as it keeps your device secure, even if it ends up in the wrong hands. Furthermore, even if you perform a remote factory reset on your iPhone, the activation lock still continues to block anyone’s access without your permission. In order to keep the activation lock enabled on your iPhone, you simply need to keep “Find My iPhone” turned on at all times.
Part 2. Why You Need to Bypass Activation Lock? Now that you’re fully aware of what the activation lock is and its importance, you should also understand different scenarios where you might feel the need to bypass this activation lock. Honestly, the activation is extremely beneficial and you are highly recommended to always keep this feature active; however, there are times you might want to know how to get past the activation lock on your iPhone. In some cases, you might forget the credentials for your activation lock, preventing you from accessing your iPhone. In other scenarios, the iPhone screen might become unresponsive making it difficult to get past the activation lock. More commonly, an iPhone might be sold or gifted but the original owner might forget to remove their iCloud account from this device. This automatically causes the activation lock to enable on this device. Whatever your case is, we’ll walk you through different methods that can help you bypass the activation lock on your iPhone.
Part 3. Four Effective Methods to Bypass iPhone Activation Lock Method 1. The Limitations of this Method
In order to remove the activation lock, you must reset your iPhone.
Your data will be lost unless a backup has been made.

using a web browser.
Navigate to Find iPhone.
From the list of devices, select the iPhone from which you want to remove the iCloud account.

Method 4. How to Bypass the Activation Lock By Contacting Apple Support (Show Your Receipt)If all other methods failed to work for you, then your last option is to contact Apple Support and narrate your issue to them. The Support team might require a receipt to confirm your ownership of the iPhone. Once you fulfill their requirements, the support team will guide you on what you should do further. If necessary, they might take your iPhone for a day or two and try to resolve the issue for you. All you have to do is properly describe your issue to them and wait patiently for the problem to be fixed.
The Limitations of this Method
The Apple support team might not be able to resolve the issue if the previous owner is unreachable.
