Once up and running, you can select a video file to be played and hit the Play button. You can now head over to your desktop to watch it play. Playing a live image on a desktop does consume some resources, but DesktopHut makes sure minimum resources are being consumed while the wallpaper is rendered on your computer.

DesktopHut is available for all platforms including Windows, Linux, and macOS. And the tool is free. It comes with quite a few customizations on the Windows variant. You can enable the dual monitor mode if you have two monitor screens connected. This is a nifty feature for anyone who is looking for live wallpapers on both screens. Other than that you can even enable sound and control the volume. If the selected video file had any background music, that would be played along with the wallpaper.

TIP: You can also use freeware BioniX Wallpaper Changer to set an animated GIF as the desktop background on your Windows PC.

There is also an option that will automatically start the program with Windows start-up and will also start your live wallpaper automatically. The wallpapers are available as video files and can be downloaded separately and then used with DesktopHut.

There are a lot of free wallpapers available both in HD and 4K formats. You can easily find wallpaper for your favorite game, vehicle, or something more abstract for that matter. Set A Screen Saver As The Desktop Background On Your Mac

Here’s how to go about using a screen saver as the desktop background.

Make sure to keep that panel open while doing the following steps.

6. Type the following command into Terminal and press Enter. This is the command that sets the selected screen saver as the desktop background on your Mac.

As soon as you press Enter, you will see the selected screen saver replacing your current background image. As is the norm for screen savers, it will be an animated one that you can see moving behind the icons on your desktop.

In order to keep that screen saver as the desktop background on your Mac, you must not close the Terminal window that you used to issue the command. It must remain open for as long as you wish to see a screen saver as the background image on your machine.

As soon as you close the Terminal window, the screen saver will be replaced with your old static desktop background.

The best thing you can do here is minimize the Terminal window so that it does not affect your other work windows, and you can still see your chosen screen saver as your background.

Conclusion

If you have ever wanted to set one of those really cool animated screen savers as the desktop background on your Mac, the procedure above should help you do that. It will definitely make your Mac stand out in the crowd!

The days of personalizing your desktop background with a standard wallpaper image are long gone. Windows 11, the latest version of Microsoft’s operating system already has a new look and feel but you can always go further if you want to spruce things up.

While you can always use your photos as your desktop background, you may find that using a dedicated app or website offers more options, including unique features and customization tools.

If you want to customize your Windows 11 desktop look, then a wallpaper app is the first thing you need.

With a good wallpaper app, you can change your desktop wallpaper on a daily basis, and sometimes with some live wallpapers, you can even add some animations.

You can also configure how often you’d like to switch between pictures in the slideshow, as well as add transitions between them so that it looks more like a video than a still image.

If you want more customization options, there are some great third-party apps out there that can do it all for you.

Can Windows 11 have animated wallpapers?

The Windows 11 operating system has a built-in feature that allows you to change the desktop background periodically – Slideshow. Unfortunately, when it comes to animation, this feature is not available. However, with the help of third-party software, you can enable it.

Maximize: When we say maximize, we refer to the app that has covered the entire screen of a user’s computer irrespective of his screen size.

Restore: Restoring a window neither maximizes it to the full screen nor minimizes it to the Taskbar. When you press the Restore button, the size of the selected window will change. You can consider it as a state between maximize and minimize. When you restore an app, both maximize and minimize options become available.

You can maximize and minimize active, inactive or all open windows in WIndows 11/10 by using the following methods:

Win + Right Arrow Key: Maximizes the window to the right of the screen.

Win + Left Arrow Key: Maximizes the window to the left of the screen.

Win + Home: This key combination minimizes all the windows except the active desktop window.

Win + Number Keys: This keyboard shortcut is used to open the apps pinned on the Taskbar. For example, if you want to open the 4th app pinned on the Taskbar, you have to press the Win + 4 keys and so on. This keyboard shortcut works only for up to 9 apps because 9 is the largest single-digit number.

You can also use this Win + Number Keys shortcut to maximize and minimize the windows. For example, if you have opened an app that is pinned on the 6th number on the Taskbar, you have to press the Win + 6 keys to minimize it. Press the Win + 6 keys again to maximize it.

In the above screenshot, I have numbered the apps pinned on the Taskbar from 1 to 7. If all these apps are opened, the keyboard shortcuts to maximize and minimize the windows are as follows:
