Also, we used iPhone screenshots to showcase the instructions, as Android blocks screenshots on some important pages within Cash App.

How to automatically set up direct deposit on Cash App

Are you ready to set up direct deposit on Cash App? Let’s start with the easiest method, which is using the Automatic Setup. Just keep in mind this method doesn’t work with all employers. The employer must sign up for the service, so it primarily works with larger, popular companies with many employees.

Launch Cash App.

Go into the Money tab.

Tap on Direct Deposit.

Under Automatic Setup, tap on Get Started.

Find your employer.

Follow the instructions. You’ll need to log into your account and likely provide some extra info, which may differ between companies.

How to manually set up direct deposit on Cash App

If you can’t find your employer in the Automatic Setup, you will need to fill out a direct deposit to hand to your employer. Here’s how to do this.

Launch Cash App.

Go into the Money tab.

Tap on Direct Deposit.

Under Manual Setup, tap on Fill out a form.

Tap on Create New Form.

Tap on Continue.

Enter your employer’s name and hit Continue.

Select how much of the paycheck you want to deposit to Cash App. You can pick between Full Paycheck, Enter Percentage, or Enter Amount.

Select Next.

Draw your signature and select Next.

You can now choose between Email Form or View Form. Deliver the form to your employer using your method of preference.

It may not even be necessary to fill out a form. Many employers simply ask for your account information, and they handle all the work for you. We have a guide on how to find your Cash App routing and account number, if you need some help locating your account details.

FAQs

Cash App will eventually provide its direct deposit terms of service, which you’ll need to read and accept. This is essentially how you enable direct deposit, but the feature isn’t really turned off. You just need to accept Cash App’s terms to use it. Cash App will show you the prompt when it deems necessary, likely when you’re trying to set up direct deposit on Cash App.

Direct deposit times vary by employer, system used, account history, and other factors. As a general rule, direct deposits seem to arrive sometime within the scheduled date, though, and sometimes the day after. Many seem to agree this happens sometime in the middle of the night or very early in the morning. Additionally, Cash App may make the money available two days before if you’ve built a history using direct deposit with the app.

Cash App direct deposits are usually available within a day or two after their scheduled date. That said, there can be delays. Cash App mentions it can take as long as five days for the funds to become available.

Factors that may affect your direct deposit on Cash App include the submission time, account history, and system delays. You may also want to verify your account details with the employer, as mistakes can happen.

File History is a powerful backup feature in Windows 11. To be more precise, it is an automatic backup feature that will back up your user folder libraries to a selected external USB storage device. It also keeps a history of file versions for users.

With File History enabled, you’ll have alternative backup versions of your files available. Then you can select to restore previous versions of files preserved by the File History feature.

Although you’ll probably rarely need to restore backup versions of files, it’s a good idea to keep backup copies for them with File History, just in case.

You can enable and disable File History with the methods outlined in the text below.

Is File History a new Windows 11 feature, and where can I find it?

File History isn’t something new in Windows 11. Microsoft originally introduced File History in Windows 8 as an alternative to Backup and Restore. It’s a better utility for backing up user folders than Backup and Restore.

However, some users have been a little confused by the absence of File History options in Windows 11’s redesigned Settings app. Windows 10 includes options for enabling and configuring File History via Settings, which isn’t available in 11.

The only backup options you can configure in Windows 11’s Settings app are for OneDrive. You can set up the OneDrive folder syncing via Accounts, then Windows backup in Settings. That cloud sync feature backs up folders and files to OneDrive.

Don’t worry, File History still exists in Windows 11! However, you’ll need to activate that legacy feature via the Control Panel now. Alternatively, you can also enable and disable it with the two other methods below.

How can I turn on Network Discovery for File History?

Keep in mind that you’ll need to have Network Discovery enabled in order to utilize File History in Windows 11.

If it’s not enabled, File History’s Turn on button will be grayed out in the Control Panel. This is how you can turn on Network Discovery in Windows 11:

How can I turn on and off File History in Windows 11?

1. Use the Control Panel

1. Open Windows 11’s search box by pressing the magnifying glass taskbar button on your desktop. Alternatively, you can press the Windows key on your keyboard.

2. Type the word File History within the search box.

3. Select File History from the results to open the Control Panel applet.

Expert tip:

6. To select an external drive to back up files on, insert a USB storage device in your PC.

8. Press the OK button to confirm your chosen storage device.

2. Use the Group Policy Editor

NOTE

Group Policy Editor is not available in Windows 11 Home edition. You can utilize Group Policy Editor within the Pro and Enterprise editions of the platform.

3. Edit the registry What can I do if File History doesn’t work?

If File History still doesn’t work with Network Discovery enabled, make sure that Network Discovery stays on as it should.

Even more, the service for that feature might be disabled. Thus, the solution might be to enable the File History Service. You can check that service as follows:

How can I restore my files with File History?

When File History has preserved some backup copies, you can restore previous file versions any time you fancy. To do so, open the File History Control Panel applet as outlined within the first three steps of the first resolution for activating the backup feature.

Although there are plenty of third-party backup utilities for Windows, File History is perfectly sufficient for preserving copies of user files. It’s a convenient feature that will automatically back up your user folders at specified intervals.

Don’t think you won’t ever need backup file copies. There are all sorts of ways user files can become corrupted or get accidentally deleted. So, it might be better to be safe than sorry by enabling and utilizing File History in Windows 11.

How To Set Up And Use Cellular On Apple Watch

What you need to know

First and foremost, you’ll need a compatible Apple Watch and a supportive cellular plan.

To set up cellular, go to the Apple Watch app → My Watch → Cellular → Set up cellular.

You can also set up cellular on a Family member’s Apple Watch.

If you have set up cellular on Apple Watch, you can use the watch to make calls, receive notifications, reply to messages, and more without help from the paired iPhone. It’s amongst the coolest experience of using an Apple Watch, and you must try it at least once.

The great thing is that it’s quite easy to do so. Let me show you how it works!

Set up cellular on Apple Watch for yourself

Usually, you can enable cellular service on Apple Watch during the initial setup by following the onscreen instructions. It could also be set up later; however, before we go through the steps, let’s check out some prerequisites.

Requirements to set up cellular on Apple Watch

Apple Watch compatibility – Ensure you’re using a cellular model Apple Watch Series 3 or above.

Cellular plan support – Cellular service is not available in all areas or with all carriers, so check Apple’s website to see if you have an eligible cellular plan.

Carrier clause –

The iPhone and Apple Watch must use the same carrier when setting for yourself.

When setting for a family member, they can have different carriers.

If using an enterprise or corporate cellular service plan, check with the company if the cellular plan is supported.

Be in the range – When setting up cellular on Apple Watch, you must be within your carrier’s network range.

How to activate cellular on Apple Watch

If you need some assistance, call the carrier provider. Once the setup is complete, your Apple Watch cellular network is ready to use. But before anything else, let’s test out whether cellular is working or not.

Connect Apple Watch to a cellular network

By default, Apple Watch selects the most power-efficient network available, whether it’s a Wi-Fi network or a nearby iPhone. So, to test the Apple Watch cellular, turn off the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (disconnects the iPhone).

To turn on the cellular network on Apple Watch

Open the Control Center (swipe up from the bottom of the screen).

Check if the cellular icon is:

Green = On

White = Off

If it’s white, touch and hold the icon to turn.

Now, try to make a call, message, or open an app that requires a connection to check whether cellular is working on the watch or not. If it’s not working, try this troubleshooting guide to resolve the issue.

Note: Usually, your watch uses LTE networks. However, if unavailable, it will opt for UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) only if your carrier supports it.

To turn off the cellular network on Apple Watch – Go to Control Center → long-press the cellular icon; it should turn white.

Set up cellular on Apple Watch for a family member

Available from watchOS 7 and later, you can set up a family member’s watch (kids or elderly) who might not have their own iPhone. Once set up, they can make calls, send messages, share locations, etc.

Requirements to set up cellular on a family member’s Apple Watch

Apple Watch – Series 4 or later with cellular or Apple Watch SE with cellular running watchOS 7 or later.

iPhone – iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14 or later.

Cellular carrier support – Your carrier should support Apple Watch cellular.

Apple ID –

Your Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled.

Family member’s Apple ID to use in the Apple Watch.

Family Sharing – Your Family Sharing setup should include the Apple ID of the Apple Watch user. Plus, you should be the organizer or parent/guardian to complete the setup.

Note: Do check Family Setup availability in your area; it’s not available in all countries and regions.

Activate cellular on a family member’s Apple Watch

You can either enable cellular on a family member’s Apple Watch during setup. But if you’ve missed the opportunity, here’s how to do it later:

Open the Watch app on your iPhone.

Tap All Watches

Select your family member’s Apple Watch → tap Done.

Tap Cellular → Set Up Cellular.

Follow the onscreen instructions; you might have to contact the carrier for help.

Note: After setup, go to Settings on the family member’s watch and tap iPhone. Here you can check the phone number assigned to the watch.

Transfer cellular plan from your old Apple Watch to new one

Are you transferring to a new Apple Watch? No worries, follow these steps to continue using your cellular plan on the new device without a hiccup.

Remove the cellular plan from the old Apple Watch (steps mentioned below).

Pair the new watch with your iPhone.

Select Set up Cellular during the setup.

Notably, some carriers allow you to transfer the existing plan directly from the Apple Watch app. Just follow the onscreen instructions. However, if that option is missing, contact the carrier for assistance.

Manage Apple Watch cellular settings

Now that your Apple Watch cellular is set up, here are some tricks and details you should know about.

1. Check the cellular signal strength

Open Control Center and observe the green bars at the top. They show the cellular connection status.

2. Check cellular data usage

Keep a check on your data usage with ease.

Launch the Watch app on your iPhone.

Tap the My Watch tab.

Select Cellular.

Here you’ll see the amount of data used in the current billing cycle.

3. Things you should know

Cellular can consume more battery power, especially for extended periods.

Some apps might not update on a cellular connection; they’ll need a connection to your iPhone.

The paired iPhone must be powered on and connected to a network to receive notifications from third-party apps.

You can also use Dual SIM with cellular models of the Apple Watch; here’s how.

Cellular roaming isn’t supported outside your carrier network coverage area.

How to remove your cellular plan

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone

Tap the My Watch tab → Cellular.

Tap the i button next to your cellular plan.

Select Remove [carrier] plan.

Tap Remove [carrier] Plan again to confirm.

You also get an option to remove the cellular plan from your watch when you erase and unpair it from the watch. Choose Erase All option to remove the plan.

Note: If you’re planning to pair a new watch, proceed as is. However, contact your carrier to cancel the cellular subscription if you’re dropping the service altogether.

How To Set Up 3D Audio On Ps5

Your PlayStation 5 console has a feature called 3D audio that allows you to create a more immersive gaming experience. We’ll tell you what 3D audio is and how you can enable it.

What Is 3D Audio on PlayStation 5

3D audio is Sony’s implementation of surround sound technology. Sony powers its 3D audio with the Tempest 3D AudioTech audio engine, which makes you feel like the sound is coming from all directions. In simpler terms, when you pay close attention to audio on headphones, you’ll almost always be able to tell that sound is coming from either the left or the right side.

Table of Contents

Surround sound technologies such as 3D audio take this up a notch. They’ll make you feel like the sound is coming from multiple directions, much like how you hear things in real life. If a plane passes overhead, with surround sound, you should hear the sound coming from above you and fading as the plane goes further away.

Surround sound has been around for many years, with Dolby Atmos available on the Xbox Series X and Series S. More recently, Apple’s Spatial Audio added a similar audio experience to Apple Music.

Sony introduced 3D audio with the PS5, which works with your TV speakers and headphones.

How You Can Make the Most of PS5 3D Audio

Even though 3D audio is technically available for everyone, a few tips will help you make the most of it. First up, try and use 3D audio with a pair of headphones. The 3D audio experience is just not the same with speakers or soundbars.

How to Enable 3D Audio on PS5

If you’re using your PS5 with speakers, here’s how you can enable 3D audio.

Boot up your PS5, press the up arrow on the D-pad, and press the right arrow until you reach

Settings

(the gear icon).

Select

Enable 3D Audio for TV Speakers

.

When that’s done, you can select

Apply Measurement Results to 3D Audio

to finish tweaking the audio settings.

If you’re using headphones for 3D audio on PS5, there’s a slightly different method to enable 3D audio.

Select

Enable 3D Audio for Headphones

.

Select

Adjust 3D Audio Profile

. Wear your headphones and follow the on-screen instructions to select the correct sound profile for you. This will optimize your 3D audio experience on the PS5.

Choose Games That Support 3D Audio

Now that we’ve seen which sound systems work with 3D audio, it’s time to talk about PS5 games. Having 3D audio support is one thing, but implementing it well is another. Some games, such as Returnal, have been observed to have a far more noticeable implementation of 3D audio than others.

Ideally, you want to play video games that have been optimized for next-gen consoles, such as the PS5. If you pick up the PS4 version of a game, you’re less likely to have a great 3D audio experience. Gamers can try titles such as Marvel’s Avengers, Spider-Man Remastered, Final Fantasy XIV, and Resident Evil: Village to check out great implementations of 3D audio.

If you’re looking for more games with 3D audio support, here’s a helpful list.

How To Set Up And Access A Medical Id On Iphone And Android

Both iOS and Android feature powerful medical ID and emergency contact integration. With COVID-19 vaccine information being essential for travel and other things, it’s handy to have your vaccination status on your phone as well. We show you how to set this up on your phone, whether you’re an Apple or Android user. We’ve also gathered a few other handy tips to make the most out of your phone’s medical ID features.

How to Set Up Medical ID and Emergency Contacts on iOS

Setting up your medical info is easy on iOS.

Open the Health app, then tap the “Summary” tab.

Tap on your profile photo in the upper right of the screen, then tap “Medical ID.”

If you’ve never set up Medical ID before, you’ll see a button labeled “Get Started.” Tap this to start setting up your Medical ID. If you’ve already set up your Medical ID, tap “Edit” in the upper-right corner.

List your name, date of birth, and medical conditions. Scroll down and add your blood type, weight, height, and primary language.

Scroll down a little further to can set up your emergency contact. Tap the “add emergency contact” button and a list of your iOS contacts will pop up. Select a person to contact in case of emergency.

When you’re finished, you can repeat this process to add another emergency contact.

All the information here is optional. You don’t have to add anything to your medical ID that you aren’t comfortable with. Just remember to add any key information you want medical personnel to be aware of in case of an emergency.

How to Set Up Medical ID and Emergency Contacts on Android

Android doesn’t have the same Medical ID feature that iOS has, but it does have built-in ways to store your health information and emergency contact data. This will vary based on your phone’s manufacturer, so we are focusing on the stock Android features.

Adding COVID-19 Vaccine Information to Your Medical ID

If you have verifiable COVID-19 vaccine records, you can add them to your phone. This can help you get into events where vaccinations are required, for example.

If you have a QR code on your vaccination card or you were given a downloadable file, you’re ready to go. If your vaccination record doesn’t have either of these or the place requiring you to show it isn’t set up to read digital records, you’ll still need to carry it with you.

Add COVID-19 Vaccine Information on iPhone

With iOS 15.1 and up, it’s easy to add verifiable COVID-19 vaccination information to your phone in two ways. You can add the information to both the Health and Wallet apps.

For a QR code:

Open the Camera app and make sure the rear-facing camera is selected.

Position the QR code within the viewfinder, and after a moment, the camera will recognize the code and pop up a notification for the Health app.

Tap the notification, then tap “Add to Wallet & Health.”

If you received a downloadable file instead of a card with a QR code, it’s even easier to add your COVID-19 vaccine information.

Tap the download link, then “Add to Wallet & Health.”

Tap done and the information will be safely stored in the Wallet and Health apps.

Add COVID-19 Vaccine Information on Android

To add COVID-19 vaccine info to Android, you’ll need to be running Android version 5 or higher, and your device will need to be Play Protect certified. The process is similar to the second method we looked at on the iPhone.

Making Everything Available on Your Lock Screen

One of the biggest reasons to add your medical information to your smartphone is so that anyone around will know key medical information should something happen to you. If your phone is locked, nobody around you can see anything except what you make available here, so it’s important to configure your phone to show your Medical ID and contacts on the lock screen.

Lock Screen Setup for iPhone

This process is simple on iOS, and you can even do it when first setting up your medical ID.

Open the Health app, tap your profile photo, then Medical ID.

You have two options under Emergency Access. The first one is to show your emergency medical information when the screen is locked. This should say “Enabled.” If it doesn’t, tap “Edit,” then scroll down and make sure to enable the slider next to “Show When Locked.”

The second option is to share your Medical ID when you call emergency services. This is disabled by default, so enable the slider here if you want to share your Medical ID Info This would be helpful in circumstances, such as when you call 911.

Lock Screen Setup for Android

Setting up your lock screen on Android is simple, but it can vary depending on the manufacturer of your phone. Again, we are focusing on the stock Android experience, but the instructions may vary slightly for you.

Some phones will automatically integrate your COVID-19 vaccination information, but again, this will vary by manufacturer. On some phones, you may only be able to enter a message to display on the lock screen to help you find a lost phone or communicate key medical info.

How to Sign Up as an Organ Donor

In addition to other health information, you can also volunteer as an organ donor if you wish. These instructions are only for organ donors in the United States. Outside the U.S., you’ll need to look into your own local regulations around this.

Organ Donor Info on iPhone

On iOS, this is right in your Medical ID, along with your other information.

Open the Health app, tap on your profile photo, then select “Medical ID.”

Tap “Edit” in the upper right, then scroll down and tap “add organ donor” to reveal a few settings.

If you do not wish to register as an organ donor, select “No.” Assuming you do want to become a donor, you have two options: select “Yes” or tap the other option to register with the Donate Life organization.

Organ Donor Info on Android

Unlike iOS, there is no built-in function for communicating your organ donation preferences. That doesn’t mean you; can’t let the right people know your organ donation status using your phone.

There are numerous apps available for Android. Two of the most popular are Body Organ Donation and Organ Donation App. Both of these apps are basically portals to organizations where you can sign up as a donor, similar to Apple’s “Donate Life” option for iPhone that is mentioned above.

Frequently Asked Questions 1. Does using Medical ID mean that Apple can access my health data?

When setting up Medical ID on your iPhone, a prompt will ask if you want to share data with Apple. This information is anonymized, so the company cannot access your personal data directly. If you opt out of this, none of your information is shared.

2. Do I still need to carry my vaccination card with me?

If you don’t have vaccine information that was shared with you either by QR code or by downloadable file, you’ll definitely need to carry your card. Otherwise, your phone is probably fine for getting into concerts or using public transportation. For medical appointments or other more serious situations like a job interview or travel, you’ll probably want to have your card handy. Also note that not all organizations are set up to read QR codes, and in that case, you’ll need to carry your hard copy.

How To Set Up Google Family And Track Kids Activity On Phone

Google Family allows a family of six people to share almost everything, including Music, Photos, share payment methods, and YouTube Membership. It also lets parents keep a tab on their kids. The last one is what makes things impressive. In this guide, we will share how you can set up Google Family on your phone and your kid’s phone.

As Smartphones have become more of a necessity, it’s also important to know how your kid uses the phone. Not all apps and content are safe on Android. This is where Google Family comes into the picture.

If you are wondering why Google came up with this product, I can give a hundred reasons for that. Imagine your kid using a smartphone with almost zero restrictions on what he can use and watch. YouTube, even though restricted, still manages to show types of content which is not suitable for kids. Chrome does well, but kids still manage to bypass it. You can’t really block apps because kids eventually learn the pattern or pin and so on.

Set up Google Family & Track Kids Activity

Google has launched “Google Familie Link” in India. Google has launched the Family App in two parts. The first needs to be installed by the parent, and the second needs to be installed on the child’s phone. Once done, make sure to keep a note of your child email account.

Setup Family App for Parents and Kids

1] Launch the Google Family Parents app, and sign in with your Gmail account. You can then add up to 6  family members. The first thing I would suggest is to add your Spouse account as well so she or he can manage and track kids activity.

3] If your kid has a Gmail account, you can add it right away else you can create it right away.

4] When you add the kid’s account, the setup will prompt you to install Family App on Kids account. It will also display access code which you will need to enter on your kid’s phone.

5] Switch to Kids account, and launch the app.

6] Choose that this phone is going to be supervised. As soon as you enter the access code, Parent’s name will appear right away and you can approve it.

7] Post-approval, You can set up how your kid will use your phone, and add access control.

Setup Access Control on Child Phone from Parent Phone

The most effective way to setup control on Childs phone is through Parents App. Launch the app, and select your child. Next, here is the list of things you can manage on your Childs Phone:

You can choose to either block everything so your kid can not download anything or you can choose “Require approval for” option. If your kid is a little mature, maybe you can allow him or her to download Music and Books. When the Kid wants to download anything, a request is sent to your account.

2] Filter on Chrome:

Mature sites are blocked by default for kids. If that’s not enough, you can choose to allow only certain websites they can visit. If the website is not on the list, your child will be able to send an access request.

3] Block Android Apps

Apps like YouTube, Games like PUBG are not suitable for young kids. Using the Manage Apps you can block system and installed apps/games on the phone.

4] See Child’s Location

You can enable Track Live Location on phone. The system makes sure that even if the location is turned off, you can remotely turn it on.

5] Track App Usage:

The app can give you daily stats on usage. You can see kids activity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, The activity gives a breakdown of time on a per-app basis. In case you do not know about the app, tap on it, and you can view complete details from the Play Store listing. If the app should not have been on your Kids phone, you can block it right away.

Apart from this, you can enable Safe Search in Google Search and YouTube Restricted Mode.

5] Screen Time

There are certain scenarios when you do not want your kid to access the phone. First is when its bedtime and second is if you want your kid to use the phone only for a fixed period of time. This is where Screen Time comes into the picture.

Screen Time lets you setup usage time. You can choose the duration and time for each day. If your kid maintains a bedtime, you can set up that as well so they are not allowed to use the phone during that period. If your child unlocks the phone using the phone’s pin, he will have the Locked Status Screen.

Parents Family app also offers an option to lock/unlock the phone. This comes in handy at situations where you do not want to give access to a phone at all.

6] Device Control

You can also choose to control certain aspects of the child’s device from your phone. This generation of kids have grown up with devices, and they know they could find a solution by searching on the internet. Keeping that in mind, you can choose to enable/disable few options.

Disable add/remove users.

Restrict the installation of apps from unknown sources.

Make sure Developer options cannot be enabled.

Change Location accuracy to High, Battery or Device only.

Manage app permissions on phone.

Can the Child remove Google Family App

They can, but if they do, parents will be notified and the device will be locked for 24 hours unless unlocked by the parent. This means they lose access to almost everything on the phone. When you set up this app on your kid’s phone, I would suggest you take a consent from him or her. Try to help the kid understand why it’s important until he or she has reached an age limit where no more tracking is necessary.

When the kid launches Family App on the phone, they will get to see what parents can see. Google has made sure there is complete transparency between parents and child about it. Location tracking, app usage, and so on.

It’s impressive how well Google has built Family App. It makes sure you get a proper Kid management on Phone, make sure you know where he is and also monitors app usage which is very crucial. If you need to give your Kid a phone, make sure to set this up before handing over the phone. However, do take his or her consent. Go here to get started with Google Families.
