With Auto FPS, iOS does it smartly by automatically increasing or decreasing the frame rate as demanded by the lighting and scene motion. As a result, you get a better low-light video with optimized file size.

Here’s how to enable or disable Auto FPS on iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE 2023:

When recording in Auto FPS, the iPhone automatically switches from 60 to 24 fps as I move from a well-lit area to a dark room. And due to the longer shutter open time, it manages to record a bright video with visible details.

The change of frame rate happens during the video. And you will notice the transition as you move from a bright to a dark area. The smooth footage will go slightly choppy when the frame rate is reduced.

To check if the video switched to a lower frame rate, you can use the EXIF Data Viewer app on your iPhone. Install the app, allow it access to photos, and select the video recorded with Auto FPS turned on. Scroll down and check the frame rate under Video.

In our case, the 60 fps video recording with AutoFPS showed a frame rate of 33.33. Whereas, the one recorded without the feature enabled appeared to have a frame rate of 59.96.

Record Brighter Videos With iPhone in Low Light

Use primary camera: Prefer using your iPhone’s main rear camera (which appears as 1x in the app) to shoot in low light instead of the wide-angle or telephoto lens. You’ll get brighter and sharper video, thanks to the bigger aperture.

Use LED flash: You can turn on the flashlight at the rear to add extra light to the scene. But it will only help for close objects.

In any game’s video setting, you might have encountered a setting named Bloom. This is a video game mechanic implemented into many games, both FPS (First Person Shooter) and single-player games. 

The word bloom has two different meanings in a video game. In competitive or FPS games, it mostly deals with where the shots land when you press the shoot button. And the other meaning to bloom is in-game video/graphics settings.

Recoil and reticle bloom may seem similar, but these terms go hand in hand. When the recoil increases, the reticle bloom effect will increase. Therefore, if you shoot continuously, the gun will have increased recoil, and its reticle will expand.

The bloom here, decreases the probability of landing a successful shot even less as the total area near and within the crosshair is increased. They do a similar act: reduce accuracy. However are two totally different entities.

How to become a cat on Zoom

Zoom’s filter catalog doesn’t include an option that lets you add a cat mask onto your face. To transform yourself into a cat on Zoom, you need to install the Snap Camera application installed on your PC or Mac, enable it and then select the filter from the list of options. Here’s how you get started:

Step 1: Install Snap Camera on your PC/Mac

Once the app package has been downloaded, open it and follow the instructions on the screen to successfully install Snap Camera on your computer.

After Snap Camera is installed on your system, you can proceed to enable it on Zoom, and only then would you be able to apply filters to your face. 

Step 2: Enable Snap Camera on Zoom

How To Turn Off Facial Recognition In Google Photos.

If you have or plan on having a Google Photos account and want to use it for all your photographic storage needs, you’ll probably want to know a little bit more about the built-in and enabled by default Facial Recognition system. Google Photos Facial Recognition system is designed to sort photos into better groups based on the faces found in images. However, this feature can seem a little creepy so follow along as we show you how to disable it.

For a long, long time Google Photos has had unlimited storage for photos stored in standard resolution, along with 15gb’s free of premium storage space. Recently, however, this feature was canned with Google reconsidering their super-generous offer to store unlimited content. Instead, the offer has been capped at 15GB of free storage, with the next best option of 100GB costing around $24USD a year.

If you have decided to or are currently deciding to continue on with Google Photos or are planning on signing up for an account, you’ll want to know a little bit more about Google Photos built-in Facial Recognition system (on by default) which aims to use artificial intelligence to better sort your photos into categories/groups based on who is in images uploaded to the service.
