Pokemon Masters EX gets a massive update with wild new Sync Pairs
Today we’re looking at the newest update to Pokemon Masters EX with details delivered to users by the Producers of the game. Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi delivered a message in “Vol. 23” of their game’s update series, ready for Late July 2023 – for starters. This series of updates has tidbits from late July (now) until late August, 2023.
Starting at this update (whenever you get it on your respective device) per the producers, you’ll find a triple feature Poke Fair Scout available for 72 hours “starting from when you first log in after the app update.” This update include Sygna Suit Red & Charizard, Sygna Suit Blue & Blastoise, and Sygna Suit Leaf & Venusaur (all 5-star, of course). They’ll all return in this sync pair scout.
On August 8, 2023, at 11PM (local time), Battle Points will be added as “additional rewards for master mode” after the Champion Stadium switches regions. Somewhere between now and then we’ll also see Evelyn & Entei added to the BP Sync Pair Super Voucher Exchange Items Menu.
On July 29, 2023, there’ll be a Solo Event called “Lear Takes the Lead.” During this event, Lear, Rachel, and Sawyer will appear in the Sync Pair Scout. Lear rolls with Hoopa, Rachel has Umbreon, and Sawyer has a Honchkrow. So watch out for those monsters!
On August 4, Pokemon Masters Ex will have a new sort of daily type rotation going on. It’s the Daily Type Rotation: Type Team-Up, and you’re going to need to stay KEEN for it. This event allows the user to work with sync pairs of all 18 types. Each battle will reward users with “gems and items used for training.”
August 4, 2023 will also be the date that Falkner & Swellow debut in the sync pair scout. They have the absolutely nonsense ability to “temporarily leave the battle, causing most opponents’ moves aimed at them to miss.” That’s just silly. They also have passive skills that take effect if an opponent’s move misses. One charges the move guage, one raises the Speed of all allies, and the other has the chance to restore HP.
There’ll be an event on August 11 called Howling Shield of Eternity. It’ll be a legendary event, and it’ll allow users to team up with a new sync pair: Hop & Zamazenta. There’ll be an August 18, 2023 “two-year run-up special rally” that’ll launch several features:
Three Legendary Events “at the same time”, with New World Dilemma (Cyrus & Palkia), Give and Take (Professor Sycamore & Xerneas), and Father and Foe (Ghetsis & Kyurem). There’ll be a 9-day log-in bonus starting then with 400 Stamina per day, and 5-star Guaranteed Scout Tickets “and other incredible rewards” available with special missions.
This series will include “more rewards” from the Training Area, and Blissful Bonanza! In Blissful Bonanza, users will be able to “collect valuable items” that’ll be able to be exchanged for 5-star Guaranteed Scout Tickets, Lucky Scrolls, lucky cookies, and other items.

Apple has finally unveiled its new Mac mini, and as expected the ultra-compact desktop packs an HDMI port along with “up to twice the graphics performance” and an SD card slot. The new, smaller Apple Mac mini comes with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, 320GB HDD and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics; the regular model has a slot-loading 8x DVD burner, but as before an OS X Snow Leopard Server version will be offered with no optical drive but two 500GB HDDs instead.
The server version also gets 4GB of RAM as standard. Both models have WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, along with four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire 800 port, an HDMI port and a Mini DisplayPort, together with gigabit ethernet. There’s also audio in/out (which double as digital in/out) and an HDMI to DVI adapter in the box.
Now measuring 7.7 inches square and 1.4 inches thin with an integrated PSU, the new Mac mini uses less than 10W when idle; it also has a convenient access panel on the underside for upgrading memory and storage. China’s Sky Wing Uav Gets New Engines
The WZ-9 Sky Wing UAV,built by Guizhouz Aviation Industry Corporation, has been fitted with a pair of stealthy and more powerful engines. The Sky Wing was first seen in 2003, when it flew with a WS-11 turbofan, which has a thrust of 1.7 tons. It has some stealth festures, such as a V-shaped pelican tail and backwards swept wings. In its original configuration, it could carry about 80 kilograms of sensors such as electro-optical cameras and radars, on a 1.7 ton airframe. Compared to other Chinese high altitude reconnaissance drones like the BZK-005, the Sky Wing did not enter into widespread service. However, Chengdu Aircraft Corporation has undertaken further testing of the drone.
Sky Wing Prototype
The first Sky Wing, which used a single WS-11 turbofan engine (a Chinese license copy of a Russian engine) made its first flight in the mid 2000s. Less stealthy than the current Sky Wing, the Guizhou built drone apparently did not enter into widespread service, as similar long endurance but propeller powered drones were probably cheaper during that time.
But this could all be changing. In December 2014, photos showed a redesigned Sky Wing being tested on a runway. While not as stealthy as the X-47B or Lijian stealth drones, the redesigned Sky Wing has a new engine intake, and more importantly, stealthy engine nozzles. These new nozzles are similar to the F-22’s in design purpose; their angular surfaces are less detectable than conventional circular nozzles, and can hold equipment to reduce the infrared signature of hot engine exhaust. The triangular engine nozzle is a first for Chinese aviation; not even the J-20 and J-31 stealth fighters have been fitted with stealth nozzles to date.
Sky WIng Engines
The new Sky Wing has two smaller turbofan engines, as opposed to a larger single engine. Having two smaller modern engines would provide better fuel economy, as well as making it easier to fit the engine nozzles with this triangular shroud, which will reduce both radar and infrared signatures.
The smaller new engines are likely to be very small, two spool turbofan engines, with are commonly used on small and medium business jets. By comparing the people standing around the Sky Wing, the engines’ diameters appear to be about between 14-20 inches, which suggests that each engine would probably have about 800-1000 kg of thrust. A combined engine output of 1.6 tons to 2.0 tons would give this stealthier Sky Wing comparable power to the 1.8 ton thrust of the General Atomic Avenger (a jet powered version of the deadly Reaper). With a stealthier airframe and more powerful engines, the new Sky Wing would be more survivable and carry more weapons than the Wing Loong, China’s current attack drone, as well as the earlier model US MQ-1 Predator and possibly even the MQ-9 Reaper.

After a long wait, Samsung Galaxy S5 users at Cricket can have the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for their beloved device. The update was released today, and the firmware has already hit the download. The build no. of Cricket S5 is G900AZTUU3BOG3, and apart from the 5.1 Android OS, we thing it would also bring the ‘factory reset protection’, and ‘Find my mobile’ feature to the device as almost all Samsung updates recently with builds OFx and OGx have got these two features.
Using the download links and guide below, you can update your Cricket Galaxy S5 to much awaited Lollipop Android update now. You don’t need any preparations for this either, as this is pretty easy installation, though it involves one big download of the full firmware.
Installing the G900AZTUU3BOG3 firmware would unroot your Cricket S5, and also remove the TWRP/CWM recovery and custom ROM, is any installed on your device. The Lollipop update is an amazing upgrade, and you should go ahead for it.

CRICKET GALAXY S5, model no. SM-G900AZ
Don’t try this on AT&T S5 or any other Galaxy S5 device than the model no. SM-G920i!
Don’t try on any other device whatsoever!
Instructions
Disclamer: Installing an official firmware through Odin doesn’t void your device’s warranty, but it remains an unofficial process and thus you need to be cautious of it. In any case, you only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components.
Backup important files stored on your device before proceeding with the steps below, so that in case something goes wrong you’ll have backup of all your important files. Sometimes, Odin installation may delete everything on your device!
Download the Odin software and firmware file from above.
Extract the Odin file. You should get this file, Odin3 chúng tôi (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Disconnect your Galaxy S5 from PC if it is connected.
Boot Galaxy S5 into download mode:
Power off your S5. Wait 6-7 seconds after screen goes off.
Press and hold the three buttons Volume Down + Power + Home together until you see warning screen.
Press Volume Up to continue to download mode.
Connect your Galaxy S5 to PC now using USB cable. Odin should recognize your device. It’s a must. When it recognizes, you will see Added!! message appearing in the Log box in bottom left, and the first box under ID:COM will also show a no. and turn its background blue. Look at the pic below.
You cannot proceed until you get the Added!! message, which confirms that Odin has recognized your device.
If you don’t get Added!! message, you need to install/re-install drivers again, and use the original cable that came with device. Mostly, drivers are the problem (look at step 2 above).
If Odin gets stuck at setup connection, then you need to do steps 5 to 11 again. For this, close Odin, disconnect your S6 and then start from step 5 again.
That’s it. Enjoy the Cricket Galaxy S5 OG3 firmware!
Tip: After updating to Android 5.0 Lollipop, you may get the ‘Find my mobile’ option in Settings, then ‘Lock screen and security’. This blocks Odin from flashing anything on device, so next time you want to use Odin on 5.0 and provided you have this feature preset, do turn it off to be able to use Odin.

Uber just fired the ex-Googler accused of Waymo autonomous tech theft
Uber has fired Anthony Levandowski, the controversial vice president of technology who had until recently been leading the ride-sharing firm’s autonomous car business. Levandowski was one of Uber’s highest-profile talent grabs, joining the company after it acquired his startup, Otto, in July 2023. That prompted a lawsuit from Alphabet’s self-driving car company Waymo, accusing the engineer of stealing tech secrets.
Levandowski had been part of the Alphabet team when it was still a Google division, part of the Google X portfolio of so-called “moonshot” projects. According to Waymo’s version of events, the engineer decided to leave and set up his own business. Before doing so, he allegedly copied a vast cache of technical documentation from Google’s servers, using his company-provided laptop.
In April 2023, Uber and Levandowski took the decision to move the VP off the autonomous car project altogether while the case was ongoing. No longer the head of the Advanced Technologies Group, he was replaced by Eric Mayhofer. In addition, in a message to Uber employees, Levandowski made clear that they shouldn’t try to discuss anything related to the self-driving work Uber is doing, or LIDAR technology.
Uber then joined the ranks of those pressuring Levandowski, with the warning earlier this month that, if he didn’t comply with the court’s requests, he faced termination. That ominous threat has come true today, with the New York Times reporting that Levandowski has indeed been fired.
Update: Buzzfeed has acquired a copy of the termination letter Uber sent to Levandowski. In it, Sally Yoo, Uber’s general counsel, notifies the engineer that there are several grounds for termination, though if he corrects all four by June 15, 2023, he can keep his job:
“This letter notifies you that your employment with Uber Technologies, Inc. and Ottomotto LLC (collectively, “Uber”) is hereby terminated for Cause, subject to your contractual right to cure the deficiencies addressed in this letter within the next 20 days.
First you have not complied with the requests set forth in Uber’s letter to you dated May 15, 2023 (the “Letter’). That letter requested your full cooperation in complying with the Order issued on May 11, 2023, by the United States District Court Judge in the above referenced case (the “Order”). As of today, you have not complied with these requirements.
Second, you did not comply with the prior written directive to cooperate with Uber’s investigation sent to you on April 20, 2023, by Angela Padilla (the contents of which are privileged). Your failure impeded Uber’s internal investigation and defense of the lawsuit referenced above and constitutes a ground for termination for Cause.
Further, in your Employment Agreement, you represented and warranted that “you have returned or destroyed all property and confidential information blowing to any prior employer.” Your failure to comply with the Letter gives Uber grounds to allege a breach of the representation and warranty in your employment agreement, and constitutes an addition ground for termination with Cause.
Under the Stock Award and other agreements, you are entitled to 20 days to cure the events that give rise to this termination for Cause. This letter constitutes the “prior written notice” triggering the commencement of that 20-day period.
Accordingly, consistent with our agreements with you, your employment is hereby terminated for Cause, and that termination shall become effective 20 days from today (i.e. June 15, 2023), unless prior to that date you (a) cure your failure to comply with the requirements set forth in the Letter, (b) cure your failure to comply wit the requirements set forth in Ms. Padilla’s April 20, 2023 email, (c) confirm that you will fully comply with all aspects of Uber’s investigation into the facts alleged in the above-referenced lawsuit, and (d) cure your breach of the representation and warranty in ¶ 1(c) of your Employment Agreement.
For the avoidance of doubt, Uber retains the sole right to determine whether you are in compliance with the requirements set forth in the Letter and in your agreements with Uber.”
